If you pick your pimples, this only causes more redness and inflammation. So not only will it be painful picking and squeezing, but it will also make it bigger and even worse to look at! Squeezing your pimples may also result in acne in other areas of your face, as it spreads bacteria once you pop the zit.
The second point of knowing how to get rid of acne fast, is to make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. This gets so over-looked by many acne sufferers, but this alone can bring with it so many benefits. Try and aim for 7-8 glasses of water per day.
The reason for this is that the water you drink will help to flush out the body of any nasty, acne causing bacteria. Also, it will keep your skin nice and hydrated and will stop excessive drying on your face and body. Excessive drying are what alot of acne sufferers get, due to the treatment they may be on. This can cause more redness and inflammation, so it’s important to drink plenty of water to combat this!
Be certain to cleanse your face thoroughly, twice per day. This is how to get rid of acne fast, without taking medication. Acne is caused be an excess of bacteria clogging up the pores in your skin. A proper facewash will clear these pores for you, and allow your skin to function as normal. If you haven’t got facewash, then use some mild, anti bacterial soap.
Do not use soap that you wash your hands with though. This is because normal soap bars contain high strength ingredients, that aren’t meant to be used on sensitive facial skin. So when you have finished washing your face properly, avoid scrubbing your face dry, and pat it dry instead. Scrubbing can inadvertently pop pimples on your skin, and can cause the acne to spread to different areas of your face.
Don’t let acne go untreated. If left alone, the acne may worsen, and over time this can lead to unsightly scarring.
